Seeing that Pamela’s case has become less wings-on for now, I have requested another assignment from Danit. I hope for something simple, as I need to be available for Pamela, but it will be good to have something more to work on.
Pamela is still doing well. She has her difficult moments, but I have been encouraging her to contact one of her friends in those moments. Last night she had dinner—and many, many drinks—with Mal and Mal’s current boyfriend. The two of them somehow managed to get Pamela’s mind off of Rohan, for which I was grateful. Pamela is less grateful—she has a headache I can feel even here in heaven.
She has also met Diana’s friend Andrew, who is a kind man and understands very well what she has been through. I am keeping a close eye on their interactions—he could be a good friend to her, perhaps even more, but I can’t allow her to use him, nor him to hurt her in any way. These things must be carefully managed. Thankfully, I believe Pamela’s friends are also aware of the danger; they, too, are watchful, Evelyn in particular.
I like Evelyn very much. I would ask to take her on as my next assignment, simply out of gratitude for her goodness and the help she offers Pamela, but Danit tells me that Evelyn and the man she is partnered with now are a confirmed pairing. They have no need of my help.
I am happy for her, but it is nice to be needed. I am proud to be Pamela’s support, and would like to offer that support to someone else who may need it.
Lubos tells me that Freya is well. She and Ryan are growing closer, slowly but surely. It is kind of him to keep me informed, though I don’t deserve such consideration.
I will update again once I have heard from Danit.
